Description

The CP-140SE acoustic-electric guitar's parlor body style ensures a comfortable playing experience, thanks to its smaller size. It also sings with a distinctly warm and intimate voice traditionally embraced by folk and blues players, making this model a great choice for the up-and-coming fingerstyle player.

Other features include rosewood back and sides, an onboard Fishman® Presys preamp system, solid spruce top and a new easy-to-play neck with rolled fingerboard edges.

Originally popular amongst folk and blues guitarists during the early 20th century, Parlor (or Parlour) sized guitars were prized for their smaller bodies, affordability and portable nature.

For those same reasons, the guitar type has seen a resurgence in popularity during the last two decades, being favoured by musicians who like the strong mid-range character, historic vibe, and portability.

Classic Spruce & Rosewood Tonewood Combination

New from Fender, the CP-140SE offers players all of the folky charm that Parlor guitars are renowned for, but with an easy-to-play neck, and a high-grade Fishman preamp built in.

Exquisite Tonewood Choices

The combination of a solid spruce top and rosewood back/sides is one of the most popular choices amongst musicians.

The spruce top offers a bright tone, with a dynamic range that's second to none, responding perfect to any play style.

As well as featuring a pleasantly dark look, the rosewood back and sides helps to deliver a stunningly rich and warm tone, combining perfectly with the clear and bright sound of the spruce top to deliver what many believe to be the ideal acoustic guitar tone.

Easy to Play Neck

The neck on the CP140SE features comfortably rolled fingerboard edges, designed specifically to offer players a much more satisfying fret-hand feel and making all of those hours of practice as relaxed as you could wish for. This, combined with the smaller Parlour sized body, also makes the CP140SE ideal for beginners or younger players.

Built-in Preamp and Tuner

When it comes to preamp systems for acoustic guitars, Fishman is a byword for quality. This powerful little preamp system delivers a peerless amplified performance when you're hooked up to an amp or PA system, and features a 3-band EQ system to further adjust your tone to your liking. As if that wasn't enough there's also a chromatic tuner with clear, LED display placed at the perfect angle for you to see it when needed.
